A Huron woman who volunteers to teach English to new arrivals to our community, will receive free fuel for a year through the Cenex Tanks of Thanks program. DiAnna Decker is one of ten winners in ten states. Carla Newbauer nominated Decker, who has taught English as a second language for several years in Huron. “I feel privileged to do it, and am honored to be recognized for it”, says Decker. Decker will receive 12 months worth of free fuel, in the form of Tanks of Thanks gift cards. The Tanks of Thanks program encourages people to nominate others for fuel free in recognition of the contributions they make to their communities. More than $400,000 in fuel have been given away since the program began in 2012. To make a nomination and read stories of other winners, visit TankofThanks.com. The Cenex Tanks of Thanks program is offered by CHS.
