Dr. Seelye completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Mary in Bismark, ND and received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University College in Oregon, graduating with distinction in 2015. Throughout her training, Dr. Seelye gained valuable experience in a variety of areas.
“Part of my education included going around to different clinics that specialized in low vision, ocular disease and contact lenses. I also have a special interest in geriatric eyecare, specifically ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts, ” Seelye says.
Dr. Seelye and her husband Jake both grew up in North Dakota, and wanted to get back to their roots in the Mid-West.
“We both wanted to live in a smaller community, although Huron is actually larger than the towns we grew up in , and we wanted to be closer to family. Working in a smaller community gives you the opportunity to get to know your patients and their families.”
Outside of the office, Dr Seelye enjoys traveling, golfing and watching the Food Network.
Dr. Seelye sees patients of all ages Monday thru Friday at Huron Eye Clinic. To schedule an appointment call 352-4181.
