Be a Lucky Duck Huron SDThe recent campaign has coincided with the back to school shopping season, encouraging residents to purchase school supplies and clothing in Huron for the upcoming school year.  The promotion was not limited to back to school shopping; purchases from any Huron merchant are eligible for the contest.  If consumers have made local purchases of $25 or more between July 4 and August 7, they may still qualify by entering their receipt details online at www.huronsd.com by 3pm on Monday August 10.  When entering receipts online consumers also have the opportunity to vote for a local school of their choice.  The school that receives the most votes will be awarded a $500 cash prize.

It will be a race to the finish for the ducks, and an even more exciting event for spectators.  Whoever is left holding a number that matches the number on the first duck to cross the finish line will win $1,000 in Huron Bucks.  Or, if that number matches a randomly pre-selected number they will win $25,000 in Huron Bucks.  Many more prizes will also be awarded to other top finishers.  Additional prizes include: a sofa with chaise lounge, a television, a laptop computer, a 2016 family season pass to Splash Central Waterpark, grocery and gas gift cards, gift certificates to Double D Western, LLC, Crossroads Hotel, Thunderbird Liquor, Huron Luxury Cinemas, Bucky’s Restaurant & Lounge, Putters & Scoops, an end of summer fun basket, and more.
