DARE Race Car Returns to Huron for Wissota 100

The DARE race car will be back in Huron this week for the Wissota 100. “Race Car” Bob Hiller will have his street legal, late-model stock car at Dakota State Fair Speedway Sept. 17th , 18th & 19th from 9am to 7pm. $10 gets you a ride in the race car and puts you in the running for a chance to ride with Hiller in the car when it serves as the pace car in the A-Features Saturday night.

100 raffle tickets will also be sold for chance to win prizes such as a 50 inch LED TV, DeWalt Tools, Kid Trike and Trailer and more. Raffle tickets are $10 each.

All proceeds benefit the Huron Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Program.

Tuesday, Sept. 15th, is Practice Night for all classes starting at 7pm. Grandstand admission is free, but there is a Pit Charge of $20. A 5 day pass is $120.

Racing gets underway Wed. and continues through Saturday. Daily tickets will go on sale at the State Fair ticket office Wednesday-Friday at 1pm and Saturday at Noon. Tickets may only be purchased for the day of the event. Go to Dakota State Fair Speedway’s website for more information.
