There will be plenty of “frightening” fun to be had for kids and adults Saturday night in Huron, from haunted houses to live music. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you make your rounds:
The Halloween Safe Night Trunk or Treat presented by the Center for Independence and other community partners will be going on at the Family Education Center at 1644 Lincoln Ave. SW. on the north side of the Nordby Center from 530 until 7:30 PM.
First United Methodist Church will hold a trick-or-treat candy get away from 530 until 6:30 PM. Families can come in the main door and stop for candy at each of the classrooms in the education wing.
LThe third annual Trick or Treat Street will be held from 530 to 6:30 PM at Huron High School. Children can trick-or-treat and play games in over 40 classrooms.
Huron Girl Scout Troop 46213 will host fundraiser haunted house at the Huron Mall from 5 to 7 PM for children ages 10 and under and a scarier version from 8:30 until 10 PM for older children. The cost is four dollars per person or one dollar with a canned good.
Once the superheroes, ghouls and goblins are in bed parents can check out live music at the Huron Elks with the Flashback Band from 9pm to 1am. You must be 21 or over, there is no cover.
